God
Doesn't Need Anything From Me, If He Did, He'd be Limited to what we
could give apart from what He's given us, which is nothing! We have
nothing He did not first give US. Why then do puppets and idols still
somehow manage to pass themselves off as "Gods" in this world? God, in
this world, practically speaking, would include any thing or anyone
counted and esteemed by man as being as greater than man or that man
considers his good fortune as depending upon. In today's world, that is
one diverse bag of unsalted peanuts 
This world's acceptance of just ONE false God figure subjects the entire race to an inferior definition than the One God gave us in Jesus. Anything flesh has ever produced that it touted as being greater than itself, or anything counted as being of greater importance or having seniority over the one producing it, taking seniority over the needs of their own flesh? ANYTHING produced by Flesh that's considered [by man] as being GREATER THAN his flesh REDUCES his flesh (in his own mind) to being less than the highest!
The all-consuming pursuit of such a one would be the re-attainment of equilibrium his. Aka, the attainment of harmony and of complete reconciliation. Such attractive ideals define the objective of all the world's religious systems of thought, systems of thought designed to inspire good actions in us, but not for our own benefit but for the benefit of those defined as depending upon our contribution. No man is dependent upon any other man's contribution, and there is a word for males who disagree with that sentiment.
Systems designed to improve or advance the flesh likewise originate in flesh, inspired by the thought of lack in the flesh it is thereby reduced to immature flesh, and effectively reduce it's practitioners to... immature flesh, kidnapped into childhood by laws and regulations we'd been misrepresented as depending upon when in reality, WE are the ones whose performances those laws and regulations ALWAYS depended upon... How then could they contribute anything to us? What can a man add to God?
False God systems out there promote the idea of you individually being God Himself, which is merely self-dependence. Yes, you are God, but not the God of this World, the God of Heaven, the TRUE and LIVING God, the Creator of Heaven and the Earth, the sky, the sea, the land and everything in it. You are the God revealed by Our Father as being in the same form and likeness as Jesus, the Nazarene. Not even the false God systems themselves truly depend on the "higher things" their systems promote and portray our best as depending upon. You think they really count hard work as the root of their success?
Depending on anything that was produced as a result of the flesh reduces our estimation of ourselves; that's no worth "The Cost." The man-made cigarette commercials are true threat, not the Tobacco, but whoever depends on man-made systems deny this and call people like me... whatever they call God.
Depending on systems made by and believed in by man is like encouraging automation over autonomy... it's immaturely defining our race as existing in service of flesh. We do not serve the flesh, the flesh serves you. Your hand doesn't move you, you move your hand. Your cigarette doesn't move you, you move your cigarette. The commercial on the other hand? Oh you bests believe it wants to move you.
If in you, the law is able to be completely satisfied, then it's desire for fulfillment WILL be for you! That's how the law enslaves, whereas love liberates us to move freely from the heart, in confidence of our being completely perfect, according to the exact likeness of God, as His Son, through Christ Jesus. How moving is that? But even if your hand had a case of leprosy threatening your lives and livelihoods, it still wouldn't have the power to move you. Hope that it's able to be cured, sure, that'd move you some but threats themselves only paralyze with fear. Even if the situation demanded your immediate attention, what's wrong isn't what moves you, YOU move you. You and the will for your YOU move your hand. Anti-Smoking commercials would have you forget that. They'd have you whip yourself for your guilt like a monk in the Da Vinci Code, but you can't whip your fear of death away.
Your hand is under your authority as God's hand is under HIS authority, and it was under His own authority that He hand-formed you and by His own hand, He guards, feeds, and sustains you forever.
Even the relatively diminutive brain of the humming-bird or the bee is able to discern between a plastic flower and the genuine article, and not by some great intuition, but by the simple realization that one satisfies whereas the other one... does not. If Life knows better in them, Life knows better in us. Manmade systems don't satisfy our desire to be cared for from above, and the desire to ascend to above to care for others from down there is a "cast-down" thought of the "diabollos" which is the fall.
